Golf Quilt

During the Spring Regional Events a single quilt created by the Washburn Quilters has been raffled to raise funds for the Yorkshire Junior Girls. At Brough the draw was made and Mrs Kathy Oxley from Ripon City Golf Club was the winner. She generously asked for the draw to be made again and the winning recipient was Neeve Fisher from Hebdon Bridge.  On behalf of the girls I would like to thank the quilters for their hard work producing such a beautiful quilt. Twenty seven pounds was raised for the juniors.

Around the County during the summer months, we have an enthusiastic band of volunteers and professionals,  busy coaching young girls with a handicap of 36 or above. The girls receive ten hours of coaching at ten venues .They have been recommended for coaching by their clubs or professionals. We are unable to offer all girls without a handicap coaching and have to restrict it to girls under fourteen year of age.
